When Redfall launched in 2023 it was released with a "Bite Back" pack separate from the base game with the promise of year one DLC. That DLC never came after developer Arkane Austin was closed earlier this year.

If you bought the Redfall DLC pack you should expect to see a refund soon if you haven't already after some have reported to have received it. The refund is being sent out to anyone who purchased it on Xbox or Steam and the roll out of the refunds seem to be ongoing. Keep an eye on your junk folder as well incase it gets sent there.

Some users who bought the physical version of the Bite Back DLC are also reporting that they were able to contact Bethesda Customer Support and get compensation back for that.

Redfall was supposed to be the beginning of a long running live service game when it launched. Before launch the game had a considerable amount of buzz behind it. Sadly it failed to make a mark for Xbox or Bethesda and the team was shuttered, though not before giving the game one last big update. Users do say it plays much better now but it's a too little too late situation.

Despite the recent refund and the closure of the studio the game will still be playable should you fancy a trip to the games world.
