I got a chance to play Steel Seed and what a treat it was! Storm in a Teacup describes this game as a “stealth action-adventure game set in a dark, sci-fi world.” while I would describe it as a ghost recon souls’like. I can’t think of a better complement to give a game.
You play as the character Zoe and her drone companion KOBY. KOBY is basic your eyes in the sky and attack dog all at the same time. You can control KOBY and see the terrain ahead, marking your enemies, sabotaging equipment, and using loads of cool gadgets that help you strategize your tactics.

At the core of this game, it is all about stealth. Scope out the hostile zone ahead with KOBY, use your gear to thin the horde, stealth execute any hostile in range and if caught fight to the death! When you are caught you enter what I can only describe as a souls’like combat system. You start out with two basic attacks heavy and light. Roll to dodge your enemy and strike at the right opportunity. You have 3 chances to heal a slight amount of health, but you die in only 3 hits. Remember this is before unlocking anything, you can upgrade quite a lot in this game, so I imagine that evolves as you play.
I can’t stress enough how well the stealth and hard combat mix together. The atmosphere and vibe of this game is beautiful.
The parkour features while not entirely seamless, are fun and engaging. Keep in mind, this demo is a work in progress.

The skill tree consists of 3 branches. Combat, gear, and stealth. All the perks you unlock really seem like they push the game forward. Constantly adding game changing attacks and stealth perks that help change how you strategize.
Playing this demo absolutely sold me on this game. We want to thank Storm in a Teacup for our preview code. If you want to play the demo yourself it is now available to everyone for free on steam.
