One of the worst kept secrets in all of gaming has been made official today as Activision and Xbox have announced that Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 will be launching into the Xbox Game Pass service.
This announcement had been long speculated on with rumours and insider reports being bandied about the last month or so. Even Xbox themselves earlier this morning accidentally sent out a push notification to some Xbox all users early which added more fuel to the fire.

Now that this news is official the focus can hopefully shift to the game itself with the Xbox Showcase and following Black Ops 6 direct on June 9th. So far all we've seen is a little teaser trailer which can be seen below.
Of course this announcement will also spark more debate about how this will affect the Xbox Game Pass subscription service going forward with many thinking the price will be raised, perhaps even significantly. As we've discussed before it is a big risk, big reward situation for Xbox and Activision.
One of our writers even thinks Xbox should infact lower the price with this announcement to really incentivize the service and take advantage of arguably the biggest game in the industry launching on the service.
Whatever happens it will be fascinating to see what happens, but one way or another this is an industry shaking decision.
