Last night the first showcase from the Triple-I Initiative aired with a veritable smörgåsbord of announcements from the Devs of Slay the Spire, Darkest Dungeon, Dead Cells and more.
We’ve already covered some of the biggest titles of the evening with Slay the Spire, Undermine, Hyperlight Drifter receiving sequels, a new Prince of Persia from the devs over at Evil Empire and even more Vampire Survivors DLC!
But that’s only scratching the surface on the 37(!) announcements made in the 45-minute showcase – so in case you missed it we’ve got the rundown right here.
Risk of Rain 2 – Devotion Update
Roguelite fans are eating good, with Risk of Rain 2 announcing their Devotion update – a collaboration with Dead Cells featuring new maps, artifacts and cosmetics.
Kill Knight
From the team over at PlaySide Studios, Kill Knight is arcade style bullet hell shooter, that looks phenomenal with stylish visuals and fast paced gameplay. Coming later this year.
Shadows of Doubt – Sharpshooter Assassin Update
Fans of the voxel art detective game can play the new Sharpshooter Assassin update on PC now! And, a win for console owners as the game will be launching on PS5 & Xbox Series X/S later on this year.
Dinolords
Now I may be biased because I absolutely adore dinosaurs, but this mash up of a medieval realtime strategy game with giant armour clad dinos looks amazing. Coming to early access later this year.
Gelstat: Steam & Cinder
This handcrafted, side-scrolling action RPG looks fantastic. With it’s beautiful pixel art, dynamic combat and fluid platforming, it’s no wonder so many people have been looking forward to it’s release for so long. Good news then, that it has a demo live on Steam and is releasing on May 21st!
Cataclismo
I love the team over at Digital Sun. They made Moonlighter, one of my favourite games of 2018 and The Mageseeker a fantastic League of Legends RPG. Their newest outing, an RTS, looks to continue this streak of success with it’s dark fantasy setting and fun looking gameplay. Releasing July 15th.
RKGK / Rakugaki
A super slick 3D action platformer that gave me serious Jet Set Radio vibes, RKGK is the debut game from developers Wabisabi. Launching later this year, it certainly looks to be one to watch!
Wizard of Legend 2
I’m not going to describe the noise that left my body when I realised this was a trailer for Wizard of Legend 2. The first game was the game that got me into Roguelites and quite frankly has a lot to answer for.
MOUSE
The visuals on MOUSE may be the stand out of the showcase. With inspiration taken from 1930s cartoons this 2025 FPS showed off frantic gunplay, tongue-in-cheek humour and, a wonderfully jazzy soundtrack.
And the rest!
As much as I would like to show all 37 announcements in this rundown – I’m afraid it might start to become a bit unreadable.
