Immortals Of Aveum Developer Furlough’s Majority Of Staff

More sad news out of the gaming industry today as Immortals Of Aveum developer Ascendant studios has reportedly furloughed most of their staff.

Per Eurogamer the majority of the staff have been put on furlough via a LinkedIn post of an employee. Being furloughed is worse than being laid off in a lot of ways as it means you are still employed but not being paid until you are brought back to work and not subject to severance pay.

This one hits particularly close to us here at Gamer Social Club as the game was our first ever Community game of the month and was loved by everyone. We hope everyone gets back to work soon and makes another fantastic game.
