Update: Microsoft Rewards Ending On Xbox, Replaced With “Simplified Reward Hub”

Update

Xbox has begun to unveil its plans in more details. The new rewards hub will be a “simplified rewards experience”. Previously things were split up by the Microsoft rewards app, Xbox Game Pass Quests and the Rewards Hub. The new hub will be a single go to location for Xbox rewards that “brings together access to all offers and Xbox-related activities and will be the destination on Xbox to set goals, earn, and redeem points.”

Microsoft spoke to Trueachievements about the changes:

“We’re always looking at how we can make gaming experiences better for players. That’s why over the coming months, you’ll see us deploying many experiments within the Rewards program to test different ways to continue improving it, including things like new ways to earn and redeem Rewards and improved player experiences.”

Another change will be trying to incorporate the same hub to many regions. Currently things are much different in the Unitsd States versus in Portugal for example.

Original Story

The Microsoft Rewards program is officially coming to an end on Xbox on April 15th and being replaced with a new Rewards Hub according to a post displayed on the Microsoft Rewards app on Xbox.

“Rewards with Xbox has a new home! Check out the new Rewards hub, your go-to destination for Xbox activities and offers, availble across devices. Now you can see available activities, set up a goal, and redeem your rewards all in one place. The new activities focus on what matters most: earning points while having fun playing games”

While no details were given on what these new ways to earn will be it will be interesting to see what they do. What this does mean is the current weekly sets and weekly streaks will be no more.

“With the new Rewards hub and gaming activities coming to Xbox, we will no longer publish offers in the Microsoft Rewards app o console starting in April 2024. This means the current Weekly Set and Weekly Streak on this app will end as of April 15, 2024.”

“We’re excited to bring the Rewards hub with new activities to Rewards with Xbox, and we’re looking forward to providing even more ways to earn Rewards in the future.”

The current rewards program has seen a lot of tweaks over the last few months and I know many haven’t liked the changes, so we will see how the new system is received. These changes had previously been rumoured back in November.
