We love indie games over here at Gamer Social Club. And this month we were lucky to chat to BrineMedia – a small indie studio that has recently made the leap from mobile games to consoles.

GSC: How big is your studio and where is it located? 

“We are a small Brinemedia studio of two indie developers. In the active stage of development, we can involve more people. The studio is located in Ukraine.”

Their first game Zombie Derby – a side scrolling arcade style game, where you rack up points by killing zombies – was originally released for Android, iPhone and Steam back in 2013 and has since had 3 new installments (Zombie Derby 2, Zombie Derby: Pixel Survival and Zombie Derby: Blocky Roads) and in 2023 an Xbox port. Their games should be well known by the achievement community by now.

GSC: You’ve made a pretty successful franchise already with Zombie Derby, what have you learned from that? 

“Like most developers, I started by working for different companies where I gained a lot of experience. At some point, I felt that I could create games, so I started creating my own games with my colleague.”

Their new game, Stunt Paradise, will be their first game launching on Nintendo Switch and Xbox (alongside PC), as they start to move away from the mobile market into more console focused experiences!

GSC: Do you have any future goals?

“First of all, we want to continue making premium games for PC and consoles, because we are already very tired of the mobile market and the free-to-play model. We hope to release more quality games in the coming years!“
