Critical Hit Games is a game developer that was established in 2020 and they are operating out of Poland. This will be their first game. Their mission statement on their website says…
“We want to become a widely recognizable game developer, creating highly acclaimed brands that will compete in the narrative games segment.”
Based off the trailer I don’t think they are going to have a problem with becoming “widely recognized”.
I mean, a mystery, narrative driven game with a noir cyberpunk theme really should demand your attention. At least in my opinion.
You play as a detective in New York City in the year 2329. Ryan Mccaffery of IGN reported on this. He shared with us that the synopsis is about catching a serial killer who is killing the who’s who of NYC. Critical Hit shared with him that “technology has advanced to offer humans eternal life, allowing consciousness to be stored in memory banks or transferred from one body to another. That is, if you can afford the subscription.”
The game will be done in Unreal Engine 5 and available for Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 5, and PC in 2024.
