Ingrid Revealed In Street Fighter 6

The final character of Street Fighter 6’s third season has finally been shown. Ingrid, a mysterious character is set to come late in this spring. Ingrid’s history in street fighter is a bit of an interesting one.

She’s a character who was supposed to lead a new fighting game franchise from Capcom that got cancelled, Capcom Fighting Jam. After that she made an appearance Capcom Fighting Evolution and then a guest appearance in the PSP port of Street Fighter Alpha 3.

Her appearance within 6 will mark her first canon appearance however, and fans have been more curious about her than anyone. Within the lore, Ingrid is supposed to be the most powerful character in the franchise and although her gameplay remains a mystery, Capcom certainly seems to be leaning heavily into the magical girl trope with her in her teaser. Although she looks whimsical, she’s also portrayed as mysterious and powerful within the trailer.

The reveal comes just 2 weeks after Alex officially joined Street Fighter 6. There’s no official date for Ingrid yet but given Capcom’s schedule so far a debut in late may or early June is likely. A trailer for Ingrid can be viewed here.

A lifelong gamer who enjoys playing on every platform. Eventually, I grew to love fighting games in particular and began to compete and even win competitions for some games, primarily the 2013 revival of killer instinct. Outside of gaming I also have aspirations of being a comic book artist with a few ideas of my own im developing in my head. When reviewing any game I try to keep my mind open and avoid nitpicking too much. It takes a lot for something to detract me from truly enjoying it so I may not focus on smaller details the way some others might do. I enjoy almost any genre, just don't ask me to play horror games or puzzle games.
