Sudden Strike 5 Releasing This April

Publisher Kalypso has been quite busy already in 2026. Having just released Disciples: Domination in February they are back with a much different game, Sudden Strike 5. Today alongside developer Kite Games, Kalypso announced the release date for the next game in their WWII strategy franchise, Sudden Strike 5.

Sudden Strike 5 will release April 23rd for PC, Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5. The next game in the long running franchise, and first since Sudden Strike 4 in 2017 will see players head back to the Europe and Africa theatre’s through 3 campaigns.

Those 3 campaigns will be split across 25 missions with an expected runtime of about 20-30 hours depending on play style and difficulty.

Earlier this month we got to check out a preview of one of these missions and the game is looking like an excellent strategy game.

Sudden Strike 5 will release digitally with a Standard (€49.99 / $49.99 / £44.99)and a Deluxe Edition (€59.99 / $59.99 /£54.99).

The Deluxe Edition will come packed with many extra goodies including:

  • 72 hours Early Access (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X only)
  • 2 exclusive versions of PvP maps – “Mercato Square (Night)” and “Belarus Fields (Winter)”
  • 6 exclusive skin packs containing over 80 unique camouflage skins for vehicles
  • Original Soundtrack
