The campaign in Screamer, known as “The Tournament” is the big highlight of the game. A top tier narrative mixed with fantastic racing, it’s hard not to fall in love with. While the campaign is pretty straight forward there is 1 section that you might have trouble with, finding the hidden shortcut in “The Gate to the Sky” episode.
The Gate to the Sky episode is quite late into the campaign as it is episode 47.1 and is part of the Sync Rising chapter. When you start it there is only 1 objective, to find the hidden shortcut. There’s no limit on how many times you can go around the track and no time limit on when you need to find it.
And without a guide you are probably going to need it because it is really well hidden! After your first lap around the track you will notice a spot in the fence that is broken and probably think that is the hidden shortcut. Try to drive through it though and you get a “wrong way” message and blow up.
What makes this hidden shortcut even weirder is that whats mentioned above is actually part of the shortcut, but its the exit and its facing the wrong way on the track. So this “shortcut” will end up having you going the wrong way when you come out of it!
Hidden Shortcut Location
The actual entrance to this hidden shortcut is near the end of the track. You will see the a broken down rail just before making the turn in the middle part of this S like section. I recommend going quite slow as its a very tight turn and if you miss it you only have so much space to back up before the game explodes you.
Turn into the path and head down. Once you come out the other side the episode will end and you can move on to the last episode of the chapter.
