Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Amazing Guardians Trailer

During the reveal of the X-Men squad it was shown that Marvel Tokon will focus on specific squads of characters. Today Arc System Works announced the Amazing Guardians line up. This will be Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Star Lord and appearing for the first time in a fighting game, Peni Parker.

Fans of the spider-verse films will certainly recognize Peni as she was one of the more unique multiverse variants. Unlike most spider man (and woman) variants, Peni doesn’t have spider like abilities. Instead she is a genius girl who fights with a mech named SP//dr.

Peni and SP//dr look to be taking the role of the games first big body character. They are an unexpected choice for that role to say the least as many would’ve figured someone like The Hulk would’ve been the obvious choice for that first reveal. Their attacks certainly look wide and weighty like a big body character. However Peni also looks to have an array of traps and projectiles. This makes sense given she’s piloting a mech and could be a more uncommon take on a big body by making them part zoner.

This makes 12 characters known out of the roster of 20. Arc Sys is certainly keeping their word about unexpected characters after Peni and previously Danger were shown off. I look forward to seeing who else gets added to the game.
