1348 Ex Voto tells the tale of a young knight-errant, Aeta, who is looking for her cherished friend Bianca. She has been taken, and Aeta must fight through a plague-ridden medieval Italy to save her. The game boasts ‘historical European Martial Arts’ as core to its combat, as well as a cinematic medieval Italy to explore. Not only that, but it has Jennifer English (Clair Obscur: Expedition 33) playing Bianca alongside seasoned theatre actor Alby Baldwin. Stay tuned for our review coming soon.
1348 Ex Voto is available now for PC and PS5. An Xbox Series version was in development but was cancelled.
1348 Ex Voto: Unlock the Dodgemaster Trophy / Achievement Guide
The Dodgemaster trophy / achievement requires you to “perform five perfect dodges in a row”. It must be noted that you cannot get this immediately. In fact, you won’t be able to unlock this until you reach Chapter 7 at the earliest.
Perfect Dodge is a skill you can unlock using Paper that you find around the game’s chapters. Each paper you collect is worth so many experience / skill points to unlock upgrades and skills in the skills section of the pause menu.
After completing Chapter 6 – Ruins, you will get a notification in between cutscenes that the ‘Celeritas’ skill sets have been unlocked. You will see that Perfect Dodge is one of the abilities at the cost of 50 papers.
Once you’ve got enough paper, purchase the skill, now you’re ready to unlock the trophy / achievement.
Find an enemy you feel comfortable with attacks wise, so you know the timings as to when to dodge. Some enemies do more unblockable attacks and their timings can be slightly trickier. I found an armoured night towards the end of Chapter 7, he had a hammer looking weapon. His attacks were easier to dodge.
You’ll know you’ve done a perfect dodge as there will be a brief moment of slow down.
