1348 Ex Voto tells the tale of a young knight-errant, Aeta, who is looking for her cherished friend Bianca. She has been taken, and Aeta must fight through a plague-ridden medieval Italy to save her. The game boasts ‘historical European Martial Arts’ as core to its combat, as well as a cinematic medieval Italy to explore. Not only that, but it has Jennifer English (Clair Obscur: Expedition 33) playing Bianca alongside seasoned theatre actor Alby Baldwin. Stay tuned for our review coming soon.
1348 Ex Voto is available now for PC and PS5. An Xbox Series version was in development but was cancelled.
1348 Ex Voto: Chapter 6 – Ruins Collectibles Guide
In 1348 Ex Voto, you will collect sheet of paper. These sheets of paper count as skill points, so you can upgrade your health, guard and unlock new attacks, amongst other things. They are scattered throughout the chapters of the game as you play. Some easy to find, some a little more well hidden.
There are also sword parts, treasures and trinkets to find too.
We have listed the locations we have found below. There may be more to find in a level and if so we’ll do our best to update the guide as we find more.
The + numbers next to the location title is how many ‘skill points’ you’ll receive in each location that are papers.
These are listed in the order they were found.
Paper (1 / 4) – +15
At the beginning of the chapter, you’ll climb a small set of stairs and reach a crossroads where you can go left or right.
First off, head to the right and stick ot the right, you’ll go down a small set of steps and find a little alcove you can crouch into. Aeta will comment on it being a ‘hypocaust’. Crawl through until you get through into the ruins.
From there, take your first right in the bathhouse area, the paper is sat on the floor across from the pool of water.
Paper (2 / 4) – +10
Return to the ‘crossroads’ as noted above, and head to the left this time. Stick to the left and follow the path round. You’ll spot a collapsed pillar that you need to jump over.
Once past that, you’ll crawl through a small alcove. Go up the steps on the right and climb up the ledge. The papers are in a bucket next to the metal fence.
Treasure (1 / 1) – Santa Barbara
Return to the ‘crossroads’ once more. Head to the left, but this time take a right down the alley that takes you down some steps into an underground area.
Hang left and follow the path round until you see a statue that is bathing in natural light. The treasure is resting on the floor next to the statue.
Paper (3 / 4) – +10
Go back into the centre of the space you were just in from the statue and you should see a barrel with the papers on it, to the left against a wall.
Paper (4 / 4) – +20
After the first combat encounter. Head up the staircase behind where the enemies were stood. At the top you’ll enter a long room with a statue to the left. The papers are on the floor on a cloth, next to some food.
Weapon Part (1 / 1) – Tusca Blade
Later on in the chapter, you’ll enter some ruins where you have to ascend some stairs and do some jumping across and climbing to get out. Once you leave this section you’ll arrive in the area pictured below.
Head to the left and take a right down a short alley. On the right you should spot a ledge that you can climb up. At the top turnaround and jump across (so you’d be on the left side of the alley you were just in). You should spot a couple of archways in front of you with a bit of an orangey glow.
Head down into the arches and drop down. Here you’ll spot a body next to a blade for you to collect.
