Use our 1348 Ex Voto: Chapter 5 – Town Collectibles Guide to locate the upgrades, paper and weapon parts in Chapter 5 – Town.

1348 Ex Voto tells the tale of a young knight-errant, Aeta, who is looking for her cherished friend Bianca. She has been taken, and Aeta must fight through a plague-ridden medieval Italy to save her. The game boasts ‘historical European Martial Arts’ as core to its combat, as well as a cinematic medieval Italy to explore. Not only that, but it has Jennifer English (Clair Obscur: Expedition 33) playing Bianca alongside seasoned theatre actor Alby Baldwin. Stay tuned for our review coming soon.

1348 Ex Voto is available now for PC and PS5. An Xbox Series version was in development but was cancelled.

1348 Ex Voto: Chapter 5 – Town Collectibles Guide

In 1348 Ex Voto, you will collect sheet of paper. These sheets of paper count as skill points, so you can upgrade your health, guard and unlock new attacks, amongst other things. They are scattered throughout the chapters of the game as you play. Some easy to find, some a little more well hidden.

There are also sword parts, treasures and trinkets to find too.

We have listed the locations we have found below. There may be more to find in a level and if so we’ll do our best to update the guide as find more.

The + numbers next to the location title is how many ‘skill points’ you’ll receive in each location that are papers.

These are listed in the order they were found.

Paper (1 / 6) – +10

Not far from the beginning of the chapter, you’ll enter the eerily quiet town. As you head forward you’ll spot a small set of stone steps to your left. There’s a flower bed with blue flowers in it on the the right of the stairs. You’ll spot a crate that you have to move to get under a passage way. This is the way you need to go.

Go under and head up the wooden stairs. Take the entrance to the left at the top and head into the small courtyard area. At the bottom of the stairs to the right on a wooden table is the paper.

Weapon Part (1 / 2) – Tusca Grip

Go back up the stairs from the paper you’ve just collected and head straight forward. Across the wooden walkway, and jump across the gap. Climb up and head left on to the roof of the building.

From there you should see a wooden ramp. Run and jump across to take you to the other side. Drop down and you’ll see an open doorway straight in front of you. Go in, and the weapon part is on the left on a wooden bench to the right of the altar.

Paper (2 / 6) – +10

You’ll reach a slightly larger open area, a big gate is blockaded. Your main path is to the right, up some stairs and through a house. Follow that path and as you are about to leave the house, you’ll notice the paper on a table to the right.

Paper (3 / 6) – +10

After leaving the house above, you’ll drop down in a larger area. A cart is straight in front of you. Push that cart a little way until you can jump up the wall on the left of the area. You should be able to see a table with some food on it. Climb up and you’ll see the paper on the table.

I had trouble getting the game to notice the paper and had move about a fair bit before it would acknowledge the paper as something I could pick up.

Weapon Part (2 / 2) – Tusca Guard

After pushing the cart all the way forward. Go to the left and up the wooden structure to turn the wheel and lower the large crate, creating a path. Jump over to it, and instead of turning left, the main path, continue forward and jump across the fenced balcony in front of you. The weapon part is on a table in front of you.

Treasure (1 / 1) – Sant Antonia

As you progress, you’ll eventually catch sight of a Flagellanti member, he’s running across a walkway above you. Aeta will note it too. Head up the sets of stairs to the right and keep to the right. You should see a small alley that is lit by candle (it’s very orangey).

Drop down and move the crate to the wall (so you can get back up, and so the input doesn’t keep directing you to the crate). The treasure is on a small barrel at the end of the alley.

Paper (4 / 6) +5

Not long after the Treasure above, you’ll enter a house, the paper is on a table just as you enter.

Paper (5 / 6) +10

After a bout of combat (yes there is some!!), you’ll enter a courtyard area, to the right is an overturned cart with food to collect. If you head to the left and up some small stairs, you’ll find the paper on a balcony on a table.

If you jump over a cart and enter combat with three enemies, you’ve gone too far, don’t worry, you should be able to go back and grab it afterwards.

Paper (6 / 6) +10

After that combat, continue onwards, and you’ll come to a bit of garden area. In the centre, to the left are some stairs to head up. The papers are on the left on a small bit of stone.

Trinket (1 / 1) Chess Queen

Continuing on after the garden / cemetry area, you’ll ascend some stairs and go through a bit of a tunnel. Climb up the wooden crate in front of you (you have to go this way), and stick to the left, not up the stairs. Jump over the low barricade to get into the house and head out on to the balcony. The trinket is on the chess board.

And that’s all for Chapter 5 – Town. Stay tuned for more collectible guides in 1348 Ex Voto.
