1348 Ex Voto tells the tale of a young knight-errant, Aeta, who is looking for her cherished friend Bianca. She has been taken and Aeta must fight through a plague-ridden medieval Italy to save her. The game boasts ‘historical European Martial Arts as core to its combat as well as a cinematic medieval Italy to explore. Not only that but it has Jennifer English (Clair Obscur: Expeditiion 33) playing Bianca alongside seasoned theatre actor Alby Baldwin. Stay tuned for our review coming soon.
1348 Ex Voto is available now for PC and PS5. An Xbox Series version was in development but was cancelled.
1348 Ex Voto: Chapter 3 – Forest Collectibles Guide
In 1348 Ex Voto, you will collect sheet of paper. These sheets of paper count as skill points, so you can upgrade your health, guard and unlock new attacks, amongst other things. They are scattered throughout the chapters of the game as you play. Some easy to find, some a little more well hidden.
There are also sword parts, treasures and trinkets to find too.
We have listed the locations we have found below. There may be more to find in a level and if so we’ll do our best to update the guide as find more.
The + numbers next to the location title is how many ‘skill points’ you’ll receive in each location that are papers.
These are listed in the order they were found.
Papers (1 / 4) +20
From the beginning of the chapter, head forwards and you’ll come to a wider section with some ruins in the centre (which Aeta will comment on). Stick to the left side until you reach the back of the area where you’ll go through a gap in the wall and see some ledges on your left.
Climb the ledges and follow the path round, jumping across to some narrow beams. You’re aiming to go to the right, just be careful with your jumping, slow and steady. At the end, on the floor on a blanket, of the raised platform area is a healthy stock of paper (pun intended).
Treasure (1 / 1) – San Francesco
In the exact same location as the papers above, just to your right on the wooden crate.
Trinket (1 / 1) – Lucky Worm
After collecing the two items above, progress on the main route. If you need to get your bearings, you’re sticking to the right of the ruins, where for the collectibles above, you stuck to the left.
You’ll spot a whole in the wall and go through. Not far ahead there’s a little junction where you can go left or right. Initially, head to the left.
This will take you to an opening with a grand old oak tree.
To the left of the tree, you should see some ledges to climb. At the top of the ledges, there’s a stone altar with some offerings on it, including the Lucky Worm trinket.
The next collectibles are in the open area with the stream. It’s is just after you have solved the puzzle with the mill (where you need to climb up behind it and remove the branch blocking the mill from moving, and stopping you moving the crate to progress.
Paper (2 / 4) +10
Stick to the left of the stream area. You’ll come across a wooden hut on the upper left side. The paper is in the hut on some shelves.
Weapon Part (1 / 2) Impera Guard
This collectible is in the wooden house on the right side of the stream area. You can’t get in immeditately and need to use a wooden crate to get in to the open side of the house (on the left). The crate is to the right of the wooden hut where the paper can be found (see above).
You’ll need to push the crate into the stream. There it will float and you push it around by walking / running into it. Move it downstream until you’re level with the path next to the big wooden house.
Line the crate up with the side of the house so you can climb up and jump down into the building. The weapon part is on a table to the left as you drop down.
Paper (3 / 4) +10
In the same room as the weapon part above, look to the right. The papers are on some wooden shelving.
Weapon Part (2 / 2) Impera Blade
You’ll reach an area where you have to scale the side of a cliff using the winch to raise a wooden crate to help you progress.
Following that section you’ll jump across on to another platform that nearly breaks. Carrying on you’ll come to stone building. Head to the left first where there’s a grave, with a wooden cross as the headstone. You’ll also notice the Impera blade sticking into the ground. Grab it.
Paper (4 / 4) +15
As you continue, you’ll arrive at a campsite where there are some enemies to take out. Once defeating them, you’ll continue forward into a tent. Aeta will make a comment that the camp is bigger than expected. In that tent, you’ll spot the papers on a wooden table.
