To Take Back Is To Steal Trophy Guide
This trophy asks us to get a sword, give it to Furkan, then take it back. This trophy is full of prerequisites. It starts at the very beginning of the game, in Teer Fradee during your Doneigad Initiation quest. And since completing this trophy is also tied to completing Safia’s 2nd companion quest, The One The Forest Mours, make sure you’ve completed that first (The Lost Friend) before coming back to Teer Fradee.
First, let’s get that sword!

Getting the Ancient Sword
During your Doneigad Initiation quest, you are tasked with two main things: your foreign friend Furkan (yay for alliteration!) has also expressed concerns regarding a certain ruin just south of your village.
Take the time to visit the ruins for your friend. There are two main ways to get into the ruins: say hi to the bandits directly using violence, or take your chance with a mechanism skill check to open a gate that leads you directly in.

Saying hi to the bandits directly is more difficult, especially in the earlier levels and if playing on a greater difficulty. This will probably present as the first real challenge in the game for you. Doing it in this manner will then reward you with High Explosives that you’ll need to enter the ruins.

The easier route, of course, is save scumming until you unlock that gate. Doing so means it’s a hop and skip to the ancient sword! Grab the sword and head back to Furkan, and he’ll happily take it from you!

THE END! (Joking).
The Theft!
The continuation of this trophy won’t happen until later on when your crew is ready to head back to Teer Fradee. However, you can only get it if you complete Safia’s first companion quest. This must have been done before going back to Teer Fradee.

Once that pre-requisite has been completed and you’re back to your island, speak to Safia, and she’ll reveal to you that her ex-fiancée was none other than Furkan himself! Gasp!

You’ll want to follow the tasks required for this quest until it leads you to the chest:
- Speak to your mom, Daren, in Magasvár
- Speak to the vendor and ex-roomie Armal

- Go back to their old Visitor’s Home in Vígéshvár
- Witness the tracks outside that house

- Speak to the Fort Captain

- Speak to the Fort Doctor back at the Lake Region Forts
- Speak to the Fort Captain dude again

- Go to the barracks to find a note + key
- Go to the Warehouse

The Warehouse will have Furkan’s chest, and inside that chest is his salvation and our trophy, To Take Back Is To Steal. Congrats!
While we’re here, we might as well complete Safia’s quest, The One the Forest Mourns. Once you have all the evidence of his naïveté, Safia would like to honour Furkan’s memory.
To do so, we must speak to Armal once again, since he was the first to implicate him.

For this, it’s important not to implicate Nilan, so do your best to succeed in the diplomacy check for this.
Head to the waterfall area as suggested, watch the cutscene, and the quest will be completed! Rest in peace, Furkan.
