Unboxing Mr. Coo, the sequel to the whimsical and imaginative point’n’click adventure game The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo, was announced earlier today during the Future Game Showcase 2026.
The solo developer of the series, Nacho Rodríguez, revealed the next installment at the Future Game Show Spring Showcase 2026, with a trailer that he narrates. You can watch the announcement trailer for Unboxing Mr. Coo below.
The premise for Unboxing Mr. Coo, according to the game’s Steam page, is that “Mr. Coo is trying to open a gift box, but soon things get out of hand, and size. He will have to explore the inside of the box, which is anything but square.”
Much like with the first game, Unboxing Mr. Coo is made entirely with expressive hand-drawn 2D animation and will feature no dialogue or voice acting, due to Nacho’s love for “telling stories without words”.
Even with an estimated final playtime of four hours, the game’s creator wants to pack the game with as much player involvement as he can, while making sure it is satisfying to play:
“I love to put as much control as possible in the hands of the player. I want every click to be responsive, every little action to be fluid and responding to whatever the player commands, and let the player play at their own pace.”

Unboxing Mr. Coo currently has no release date and is planned for PC.
