Limited Run Games has officially announced the release date for the Marvel MaXimum collection, dropping at the end of this month on March 27th, 2026.
Officially revealed a few weeks ago at IGN Fanfest, this collection brings together 6 classic games based on the popular comic book characters in one package, including the many different versions of the games. Releasing for Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC, the games included in the collection are the following:
- X-Men The Arcade Game(Arcade)
- Captain America and the Avengers(Arcade, Megadrive, 8-Bit)
- Spider-Man & Venom Maximum Carnage(SNES, Megadrive)
- Venom & Spider-Man Separation Anxiety(SNES, Megadrive)
- Spider-Man & X-Men Arcade’s Revenge(SNES, Megadrive, Game Gear, Gameboy)
- Silver Surfer(8-Bit)
The big standout here is the X-Men arcade game, available for the first time since 2010, now featuring 6-player online and rollback netcode for a smooth matchmaking experience. The compilation will also feature a variety of other features, such as a music player, rewind and save states, different display options, as well as a digital museum featuring artwork and scans of the original box art.
Physical Versions are on the Way

Also announced during the trailer, physical versions will be coming from Limited Run Games. With an open preorder running from March 27th to May 24th, the Marvel MaXimum Collection will be available to order for $39.99USD on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. The physical version will include the disk, as well as a foil cover, sticker sheet and a booklet.
