WILL: Follow the Light Release Date and New Trailer

Will: Follow The Light

Bleak adventure title, WILL Follow the Light is one of the most promising indies of the spring. Last year, the game was delayed to 2026 to provide more time for polish and completion. Now, following a Steam playtest, the game is nearing completion and will release on April 28, 2026.

In a new trailer debuted at the Future Games Show, March 2026, we hear Irishman Will setting the scene for his journey across the awfully damp northern latitudes. As lighthouse master, he’s asked to set things up for a major storm before things start going very wrong.

We know that the story of the game is Will looking to reunite his family, and in this trailer we hear cries for help from his son who is lost in the torrential rain and wind of the northern sea. The game also promises a deeper story, including Will’s relationship with his own father and his wife.

Perilous sailing journeys, snow husky rides and plenty of walking simulator-type gameplay is promised in the full release which is now only weeks away.

A demo for WILL: Follow the Light remains available on Steam until the game’s release date, and will be updated regularly until then.

WILL: Follow the Light releases on PC (Steam and EGS), Xbox Series X|S and PS5 next month.
