Greedfall: The Dying World is an RPG full of many things to discover, treasures to find, and quests to complete. There is always more than one way to skin a cat in this game, more often than not, which means many ways to miss a trophy or achievement! Here is our Objection! trophy/achievement guide for Greedfall: The Dying World!

Objection! Trophy Guide
This trophy is located within a long quest called The Isle of the Nauts, to ensure that Alvida and our party are proven innocent, and that the emissary Zahide is brought to justice. The quest is part of the Main Story in Uxantis, but the trophy is optional, as it asks you to get a unanimous ruling on your party’s innocence.
This will be filled with spoilers. It is also important to save scum a bit, so save before talking to people so you can succeed in the Diplomacy checks. Another important tool to use is a cape that increases your Diplomacy +1 and a party member like Sybille that increases your Diplomacy as well.

It will be important to complete all the tasks required in your Journal regarding Alvida’s arrest. This means going through proper procedures and not rescuing her illegally. I will leave the checklist of my completed quest log below to ensure you have all the evidence you need.
The Witnesses

Speak to the Carpenter and Inkmistress. It’ll be important to garner both of their cooperation. To ensure this, wear the cape that increases your Diplomacy by +1 and save your game so that if you fail the checks, you can reload your save.
Afterwards, speak to Alva as your party suggests. Whether or not you convince her to use the carpenter’s testimony is irrelevant here, though. Doing so will properly introduce you to the Shipmaster, and give you your next destination

The False Witness

Next, it’s time to find out about the person who falsely accused you of murder. You’ll find information about him at the Inn by speaking to the guard. Before doing so, speak to Safia to learn about the emissary, and speak to the innkeeper to gain access to the Foreign Residence area. Again, don’t forget to save before talking to the innkeeper and the guard, to ensure you succeed the diplomacy checks.

While speaking to the guard, make sure to soften him up with several drinks. Afterwards, Sybille will make short work of him, and he will reveal everything you need to know about the person who falsely accused you.

You’ll find the Dockworker in Warehouse of Uxantis. To gain access, you can easily bribe a guard there for a 200G. Once you find him, you can pressure him into leaving Uxantis, keeping him from testifying. You can also bribe him; both will yield similar results.

The Emissary

Once that’s taken care of, it’s time to deal with the Emissary. Now that we have access to the Foreigner’s Quarters due to the Innkeeper. In order to access the emissary’s room, you’ll need a Room key (unless you want to just lock-pick it). You can find 2 room keys in these areas.

Once you have the room keys (or decided to bypass grabbing the key to just lock-pick the door), head to the Emissary’s room to grab some incriminating evidence. Take note of the shiny treasure chest in her room a s well. This has a low success rate, but we will get the key later on, so you can just come back for it later.

So it turns out this Zahide has more dealings than just messing with “savages” like us. We’ll need to leave Uxantis and visit a camp inland.
Head to the northern part of the inland called Beach. This area is restricted so you’ll need to sneak. Once you arrive at the Beach, hug the left side and sneak from red grass to red grass.

There are two main items you’ll need to acquire here: a key to Zahide’s chest that is sitting on top of a table. Then after the chest itself.

Continuing along past where you grab the key and passing the path north to the lighthouse, you’ll see Zahide’s chest. Just remember that you can easily see where the important chests or items are relating to a quest because it has a different glow while you’re in focus mode.
Once your character completes their monologue, piecing all the clues regarding the emissary together, it’ll complete that portion of the quest. It’s time to go back to Uxantis to start the trial. (Unfortunately, you cannot travel while you’re in a restricted area, so you’ll have to book it on foot).
The Trial

If you’ve followed along and ensured that all options have collected all the necessary clues, witnesses, and evidence, talk to the Master of the Shipyard to start the trial.
It’s important to make the correct choices to ensure that all your hard work doesn’t go to waste and you gain complete victory against Zahide and obtain the trophy.

Here are the general proceedings and the choices you must choose:
- Duarte will not show up
- Cross Examine the Guard
- Call the witnesses, the Inkmistress will take the stand
- Put the carpenter on the stand
- Let Alvida testify
- Present the evidence
- Listen to the verdict

After listening to the verdict, if Admiral Cabral calls the trial a farce, then you know you’ve succeeded. A quick convo with the carpenter and your quest will update, and your trophy will pop!
Congrats on the trophy and completing the trial!
