Kena: Bridge of Spirits Arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 This Spring

Fresh off the announcement of its new sequel, Ember Lab has announced that Kena: Bridge of Spirits is coming to the Switch 2 this spring.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits first released in September 2021 for PC, PS4, and PS5 as a timed console exclusive. It then made its way to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in August 2024. The game follows a young spirit guide named Kena. On her journey, she purifies an abandoned village full of wandering souls while commanding a group of spirits known as Rot. The game blends fast-paced action with Pikmin-like strategy, utilizing the Rot during combat and puzzle solving.

Ember Lab has confirmed that, despite its upcoming sequel being another PlayStation console exclusive, Kena’s original adventure will make its way to Nintendo platforms very soon. According to Chief Operating Officer, Josh Grier, “We’re incredibly excited to bring Kena’s journey to a whole new audience, giving players the chance to experience her story at home or on the go with Nintendo Switch 2.”

The enhanced power of the Switch 2 should provide an experience on par with the PS4 and Xbox One versions. This will be an excellent fit for the console’s handheld/home console hybrid. This edition of the game also comes fully loaded with all of the post-launch content, including the Anniversary Update that introduced New Game +.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits will arrive on Switch 2 in spring. The game is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
