Nintendo Announces Indie World Showcase for March 3

Nintendo has announced that a new Indie World showcase is set to air tomorrow, March 3, 2026.

The showcase will air at 6am PT/9am ET/2pm GMT, and will focus on a number of independent games set to release on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 throughout 2026. Nintendo has confirmed that the direct will be roughly 15 minutes in length.

Nothing has been confirmed to be part of the presentation, however there are a number of promising indies coming to the Switch platform in the next few months that could be speculated to appear. Let’s just get the mention of Hollow Knight Silksong’s Song of Sorrow DLC out of the way, although it seems unlikely given Team Cherry’s recent string of announcements through its own platforms.

Given that Steam Next Fest just wrapped up there’s a potential that some of the games featured in the event could receive Switch version announcements, and there’s also the potential for shadow drops.

Either way, make sure to check in with Gamer Social Club after the showcase for our regular recaps of the big gaming events.
