We may be eight months out from Halloween season, but Michael Myers won’t be waiting that long to haunt a new audience. Many of us over at Gamer Social Club are quite excited to hear this. We’ve been following Halloween news since 2024. Last year saw the trailer reveal and we quickly shared all there was to know at that point in time. The 1v4 multiplayer experience set on the streets of Haddonfield Heights is moving closer and closer to the release date. Now we know when a playable demo will be available.
For those who cannot wait to dive into a playable demo for Halloween, the first playable demo will be at Pax East (Boston) 2026. Pax East is a gaming convention running March 26th – 29th this year. Developer and publisher IllFonic will be joined by co-publisher Gun Interactive and partners from Compass International Pictures and Further Front to host a panel during the convention as well. The panel will feature film producer Malek Akkad and John Carpenter will join virtually. Later that day there will be an attempt for the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the “Largest gathering of people dressed as Michael Myers (Halloween franchise).”
More About the Game
Once players dive into the game, one player will control Michael Myers while the other four look to survive. The game, and the demo, promise to be true to the 1978 classic. We expect enough horror to keep those running on the edge of their seats. Those controllers may end up with hand imprints from all the fear!
The Pax East demo will allow players to search for escape routes, barricade themselves up, and do anything else they can to survive this game of cat-and-mouse. Michael is not one to mess with and he will appear from the shadows when you least expect it.
More About the Panel
For those attending Pax East, at this time, the panel is scheduled for Saturday, March 28th at 12:00PM in the Main Theater. Be sure to get there early for a good seat as main stage panels can fill up rather quickly. This conversation will revolve around the development of the game, how to build authentic worlds, and feature a behind the scenes look at how Halloween will honor its cinematic namesake while also bringing it a new generation.
