Mouse P.I. For Hire has received a fresh delay, just under a month before it’s intended launch date of 19 March.
‘Tis the season for games getting delayed. Fa-la-la-la-laaaa, la la la la. Some of us are still reeling from last week’s news that long-delayed REPLACED is moving to April, and now we’ve got another March madness casualty in Mouse P.I For Hire.
Unfortunately, developer Fumi Games and PlaySide Studios have confirmed on social media that Mouse. P.I. For Hire has a new release date of 16 April 2026. So not an overly long delay, just a month after the original date of 19 March 2026. The new date puts it in the same release week as the freshly delayed REPLACED.

The announcement confirms the delay, owing the delay to wanting “extra time and care needed to make Mouse P.I. For Hire an experience to remember.” In fairness, a month isn’t an extra long time to wait, and if the game is better because of it, then let them cook!
I’m super excited for the release of of the game. The classic cartoon animations, big band music and chaotic first person shooter action ticks all the right boxes for me. Check out the freshly released boss fight trailer for ‘Robo-Betty’.
Mouse P.I. For Hire now releases on 16 April for PC, PS5, Switch 2 and Xbox Series consoles.
