The latest narrated trailer confirms that Reunion will be a time-bending mystery that will see players make life and death choices on behalf of the Arcadia Baes. Max’s time rewind abilities will return once again, perhaps necessary to save Caledon University from a fatal inferno. Meanwhile, Chloe, no longer voiced by Ashly Burch, will bring back her sassy antics and dialogue as she ‘back talks’ her way through the sticky cringe moments the series is beloved for. We get a snippet of this 21 seconds into the new brief trailer which gives an overview of Reunion.
Chloe’s return has been a contentious issue with series fans, as many Life is Strange players will have chosen to sacrifice her in order to save Arcadia Bay in the original. Deck Nine have revealed how Chloe is back for Reunion as a result of Max’s time shifting abilities in the solid Life is Strange: Double Exposure.
Personally, I’m glad to see Chloe return as her story in prequel, Before the Storm was great. Though, it does feel like my decision to see her sacrificed to save Arcadia feels largely meaningless now. Still, I have faith in Deck Nine and hope that they can deliver a conclusive end to my favourite Arcadia Baes love and death story.
Surely nothing can mentally damage me as much as the end of Life is Strange 2. Surely?!
Life is Strange: Reunion releases on March 26 2026 on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5 and PC. No Switch 2 version is confirmed at this time.
