Disciples: Domination is a sequel to Disciples: Liberation and the second game of the Disciples trilogy. Helmed by Artefacts Studio this time around, Domination is a much shorter, more refined addition to the RPG series. This guide will help you to earn the “Mixed Emotions” achievement or trophy.
The Mixed Emotions achievement or trophy requires you to Synthesize 2 shards into a Dual Shard for the first time. This achievement is going to take you some time to obtain because you cannot get one of the requirements until near the end of chapter 3/beginning of chapter 4.
Step 1: Gathering & Upgrading Shards
The first step to creating a Dual shard is to collect regular shards. You will naturally do this as you play through the game and pick up items in the world, complete quests and defeat enemies. What you collect will start out as Faint shards which are the uncommon version and can be upgraded. There are 4 tiers of shards.
- Faint (uncommon)
- Mild (rare)
- Strong (unique)
- Sovereign (legendary)
In order to be able to create a Dual Shard you are going to need 2 Sovereign Shards of different colors. This means you will need a total of 8 faint shards of the same color for two different colors in order to upgrade all the way up to a Sovereign shard.
This process will cost a considerable amount of resources so keep that in mind as you may want to do this gradually rather than attempt it all at once. We found the Divine Essence resource to be the hardest to come by for this particular task.
Once you have 2 Sovereign shards of different types you are ready to move to the next step. Step 2 can only be done once you get well into the story and close to chapter 4.
Step 2: Tier IV Blacksmith To Unlock Synthesize
The second part of this is that you need to upgrade the blacksmith to the highest tier possible which is Tier IV. Again this isn’t even possible until you progress quite a ways into the story and are nearly into chapter 4.
Once you have upgraded the blacksmith to Tier IV you will open a new menu that allows you to synthesize shards. This is where you can create your Dual Shard if you have 2 Sovereign Shards in your inventory.
Simply go to that menu, place the 2 shards in and synthesize, creating a very powerful new Dual Shard and unlocking the Mixed Emotions achievement/trophy.
