Danganronpa 2×2 Pre-Order Package Announced

During the September 2025 Nintendo Direct, it was announced that Danganronpa was getting a “new” installment. This installment would have the original Danganronpa 2 while also including a new scenario based on Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. A few months later, Spike Chunsoft revealed some of the gameplay at the anniversary event in Japan. For fans of the series, this is all quite exciting but perhaps still not enough to stay patiently waiting.

Today, Spike Chunsoft has slipped some new information regarding the game in a trailer for their Danganronpa 2×2 Psycho Tropical Vacation Package. The vacation package is a collectors edition of the game with additional goods. Watch below to hear Monokuma tell you all about this edition and perhaps a bit more.

Did you catch that he confirms a few details about the upcoming release? Fans who have been waiting confirmation regarding the length of the scenario are in luck. Hearing Monokuma tell us that an incident creates a new chain of events is likely to make anyone quite happy. He confirms there are new victims, culprits, motives, and tricks waiting for you. Of course, the real question was always, will this be as long as Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair? During the trailer, he confirms that it is. Get ready for hours of suspecting your classmates and trying to stay alive.

For those who have skipped the trailer, know that this collectors edition is still a work in progress. While the items have been confirmed, the artwork is still in progress. However, it still seems like quite the item for fans of the series.

Some of the art is not final but who doesn’t need a Monokuma and Monomi in their home?

Included in the package are:

  • Game Soundtrack with remixes from Masafumi Takada
  • Reversible bucket hat with psycho tropical pattern
  • Kid Robot 3 inch vinyl pattern figure of Monokuma
  • Kid Robot 3 inch vinyl pattern figure of Monomi
  • Physical game on console of your choice – Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, or Steam
  • All included in a clamshell suitcase themed outerbox

For those who order this specifically from the Spike Chunsoft store, they will receive a flight tag key chain of Monokuma. There is also free standard shipping on purchase of the Psycho Tropical Vacation Package should you purchase directly from Spike Chunsoft. For those worried about whether or not the Switch 2 will release with the game fully on the cartridge, this question has already been asked on Twitter. Thankfully, they have confirmed it is the full game cartridge for Nintendo Switch 2!
