One of the years most anticipated indie titles has planted its flag for a release date, and it is right around the corner. Today Wishfully Studios and publisher Thunderful Games has announced that Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf will launch on March 5th.
The sequel to the very popular and critically acclaimed Planet of Lana, players will continue their journey with Lana and Mui. In our recent interview with the developers we learned that the sequel takes place 2 years after the events of the first game and its a much different world now.
Players can expect Planet of Lana 2 to be about twice the size of the first game and will feature a much wider array of areas being featured in the world of Novo. Lana and Mui can also swim which the developers have stated is one of the mechanics they are looking forward to seeing players experience most.

Demo Available Today
Also announced today, Planet of Lana 2 has a demo available now for on PC, Xbox Seies S/X and PlayStation. A demo will become available at a later date for Nintendo Switch 1 and 2.
“We are excited to reveal that Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf is coming to PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch on March 5th,” said Game Director Adam Stjärnljus. “We learnt so much from the development of the first Planet of Lana and used that to improve on every aspect of the game in Planet of Lana II. The first game was received amazingly well by players and critics, so we can’t wait to see how people react to the improved sequel when they play the demo on February 11th and the full game on March 5th.”
