Cairn – The Child Trophy Guide

Cairn, a recently released mountain climbing simulator by The Game Bakers, may be a mostly solitary and gruelling experience. However, every budding pro-climber needs to have some training and knowledge if they hope to defeat Kami, something that no one has done before. Here is our The Child trophy guide for Cairn.

Check out our Cairn Review to get our full thoughts on the game.

The Child Trophy Guide

In each Troglodyte village you encounter, you will be rewarded with many useful items left behind by the inhabitants who lived within Kami. One such items are special pitons that never break!

There are three of them in total, and each one will also reward you with a trophy. The first one you’ll find is The Child.

Head towards the left side, right after climbing up the first troglodyte village.

Once there, you’ll see a giant stone statue of a troglodyte that you’ll need to climb. Along the way, you should also light the torches located in the arched opening on its body.

Luckily, it isn’t a difficult climb to its head.

When you’ve made it inside the statue’s head, you’ll then need to climb horizontally in order to go deeper within the mountain.

This one isn’t so simple, especially since the rock formation is the denser variant, which means you can’t place a piton.

As you enter this room, you’ll see a smaller version of the troglodyte outside. Read the letter by its feet, as well as grab the keepsake if you lit up the torches as I suggested you to. After, go further down the room and look at the other troglodytes along the wall.

Congrats on receiving your first unbreakable piton! Make sure to check our other guides for the other two, The Ascent and The Secret guides!

That was our The Child trophy guide. We hope that it was helpful and that you learned from the trial and errors we experienced!
