While the 25th anniversary for Final Fantasy IX may have been last year, it doesn’t seem like Square Enix are finished celebrating the much-beloved JRPG. Earlier today, the publisher revealed the FINAL FANTASY IX – House Grooves album via their official website, featuring 12 tracks from FFIX’s iconic soundtrack that are transformed into “sleek, floor?shaking club beats.”
“Relive the journey that made us rethink what it means to ‘live.’ The nostalgic yet powerful melodies of FINAL FANTASY IX are re?crafted and immersed in the rich echoes of deep house music…
A set of warm yet striking dance?music tributes—created for everyone who once stepped into that unforgettable world.”

Featured artists include SEQUENCE, Kai Saruwatari, Terry McGowan, Chocoholic, Haioka, and more!
The tracklist for the FINAL FANTASY IX – House Grooves album includes:
- A Place to Call Home
- Not Alone
- Battle 1 ~ Vamo’alla flamenco
- Over the Hill
- Something to Protect ~ Roses of May
- Black Mage Village
- Danger in the Forest
- Terra
- Freya’s Theme
- Village of Dali
- A Song From Her Memory
- Prelude
The album is available to order from the Japanese version of the Square Enix website, while pre-orders for NA and EU fans will go live later today, at around 10:00 AM (PST) / 6:00 PM (GMT). The release date for the album is March 25th, 2026, and it is priced at ¥3,300 (tax included).
If you thought that’s all the FFIX news, you’d be wrong! Square Enix also announced a FINAL FANTASY IX × Lit B?ff Apt. collaboration, a t-shirt design featuring the game’s black mage Vivi Ornitier in his Trance form.

The Trance Vivi t-shirt, which is 100% cotton, will be available for pre-orders for NA and EU fans later today, at around 10:00 AM (PST) / 6:00 PM (GMT). According to the Japanese site, the t-shirt will be priced at $64.99, and it will be released on March 25th, 2026.
These latest drops, whilst not directly tied to the FFIX 25th anniversary, are being released only days before the first anniversary of the launch of the anniversary website. It is also not the only musical mash-up that Square Enix have done with Final Fantasy IX, announcing the Midnight Jazz: Final Fantasy IX album in November last year.
At this point, it’s getting hard to think of something Square Enix hasn’t done with Final Fantasy IX for its anniversary, well, except the much sought-after remake that appeared in those legendary Nvidia leaks all those years ago. Instead, we’ve had storybooks, eyeglasses collobs, concerts, an exhibition, even a pop-up cafe with FFIX themed food! Still, some love is better than no love at all, and Final Fantasy IX has been getting a lot of love.
