Koei Tecmo, the Japanese game publisher known for IPs including Dynasty Warriors, Ninja Gaiden, Nioh, and the Atelier series, has announced that DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered has been delayed.
The announcement of DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered’s delay was made via the publisher’s social media accounts, with a letter from the producer of the game, Tomohiko Sho, explaining the decision behind the delay and thanking fans for their patience.
“As the first remaster of the DYNASTY WARRIORS series, in order to fully satisfy our fans, we have made the decision to further improve the quality of the game. The new release date will be announced at a later date.
We appreciate your patience as we take a little more time before the game releases.”
DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered brings the epic action of this much-beloved entry to fans old and new 25 years after the original game’s release in September of 2001. Experience one of the most famous periods in Chinese history, as you fight your way through thousands of enemy troops and officers as one of the many heroes of what became known as “The Romance of the Three Kingdoms”.
Playable both solo and two-player, follow each character’s journey through a series of historic battles in Musou Mode, or hop into Free Mode to tackle individual clashes between the armies of Wei, Wu, Shu, and several other factions.
Revealed during the PlayStation State of Play in late September 2025, DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered was originally scheduled to release across PC, PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 on March 19th, 2026.
Sadly, we do not have a new release date to look forward to, with even the game’s official website now saying “Coming Soon”. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait long for a new release date, so be sure to check back here at the GSC in the future!
