With Destiny, Bungie had a wealth of voice acting talent on display. Nathan Fillion, Bill Nigh and Lance Reddick, who tragically is no longer with us were also part of a great ensemble. Peter Dinklage was even originally featured as the Ghost, but was replaced by Nolan North a little after launch.
With their new, much delayed, shooter Marathon now locking in its 5 March 2026 release date, Bungie have confirmed that there will be a number of stars featuring in the game. The list includes recent 2025 The Game Awards nominees, and eventual winner Jennifer English for her performance as Expedition 33’s, Maelle.
The actors include:
- Emily O’Brien: Known for Sarah Morgan in Starfield
- Fred Tatasciore: Known for Damon Baird in Gears of War
- Jennifer English: Known for Shadowheart in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Maelle in Expedition 33
- Neil Newbon: Known for Astarion in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Karl Heisenberg in Resident Evil: Village
- Roger Clark: Known for Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2 and more recently, Jack Leary in Fort Solis
It’s a very strong cast for a multiplayer shooter where sound design plays a significant part of the game. There will be at least 30 voice actors featured in the game, who have experience in a wide range of games including Call of Duty.
When Marathon launches, there will be a very nice special edition PlayStation 5 controller and Collectors Edition, which doesn’t include the game itself. The gameless Collectors Edition is a bold move for a game that has a complicated image problem following an indefinite delay and issues of plagiarism related to artwork which has since been removed – not the first time Bungie has been caught up in plagiarism debacles.
