Fans of BALL x PIT will not have to wait much longer for new content. The game’s first free major update, titled The Regal Update, is set to launch on Monday, 26th January across all platforms, arriving one week from today’s announcement.
An announcement on the the BALL x PIT discord says the update will deliver a substantial slate of additions, including new characters, new balls, new passives, and long-requested features that players have been asking for since the game’s launch.
Headlining the update are two new playable characters described as treasure seekers:
- The Carouser, who uses returning balls that orbit around him
- The Falconer, who fights alongside two trained falcons that throw balls

Alongside the new characters, The Regal Update will introduce eight new balls and several new passives, expanding the game’s build options and gameplay variety.
The studio also hinted at an additional surprise feature they are not ready to reveal, promising more details closer to launch.
The Regal Update launches on Monday, 26th January on all platforms.
