2026 in gaming is going to be huge and is certainly scheduled to kick off with a bang. The early months of the year see Code Vein 2, Replaced and Saros all releasing. Though, the biggest release of the first quarter is certainly Resident Evil: Requiem which launches on February 27 2026.
The first mainline Resident Evil title since 2021’s Village brings optional first-person and third-person perspectives to the horror franchise for the first time, allowing players to go for extra scares if they dare. Leon Kennedy was confirmed to be in the game at The Game Awards late last year, joining Grace Kennedy who is a new franchise protagonist.
With mere weeks to go till launch, Capcom have confirmed a Resident Evil Showcase which will reveal much more about Requiem.
How to watch the Resident Evil Showcase
The Resident Evil Showcase will take place at 5pm Eastern Time (NA) / 2pm Pacific Time (NA) / 10pm GMT (UK) on Thursday 15 January 2026. The show will be broadcast via Capcom’s Twitch channel. The teaser trailer for the showcase teases information about both playable characters, developer interviews and more.
With the game launching imminently, pre-orders are open including pre-order bonuses, steelbook editions and a Switch 2 Pro Controller. Amiibo are also scheduled to be released later this year. For Switch 2 a triple pack of Resident Evil: Biohazard, Village and Requiem is also releasing.

On console, the game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Switch 2, with physical versions available for all consoles. On Switch 2, Resident Evil: Requiem will be a Game-Key Card.
