With the release of the visually arresting Metroidvania, MIO: Memories In Orbit, releasing in just over a week, the development team at Douze Dixiemes have revealed the world release times so fans may know when the game will be available to play in their timezone.
The announcement was made via the MIO: Memories In Orbit social media accounts, posting a world map graphic showing the release time for the game in several major cities around the globe. The simultaneous release means that half of the world will be able to start playing the game on launch day, January 20th, while the rest will have to wait till the early hours of the 21st to start downloading and playing the game.
For those of you who may not have come across the game before, MIO: Memories In Orbit is a sidescrolling Metroidvania where you play as the titular MIO, an agile android who awakens on the Vessel, a spaceship floating listlessly in space. Now overrun by malfunctioning machines and seemingly abandoned by its AI custodians, it is up to MIO to traverse the labyrinthine Vessel to uncover their own memories as well as the mystery surrounding the ship and how it fell into ruin.
Fight your way through a menagerie of enemies and bosses, scavenging their parts to enhance yourself and unlock new abilities, as you explore over 20 diverse biomes packed with secrets and challenges. This is all brought to life with a distinct art style inspired by comics, paintings, and anime, and a dynamic soundtrack that blends lo-fi beats and choral melodies.
