Barcelona-based indie team Undercoders has given an exclusive look at Denshattack!, a 3D platformer that blends arcade-inspired movement with trick-chaining, racing and combat, set across a “not-so-distant” future Japan where abandoned local railways have become the arena for underground rivalries.
In the exclusive look video at the New Game+ Showcase, the developers describe a game built around expressive, player-driven style. Points are earned by linking tricks, speeding through large stages, and taking on challenges ranging from score-attack arenas to objective-based progression levels and racing circuits. Players will also encounter rival crews and distinct characters, in both a competitive climb and a story-led trip across Japan’s regions.
The team says each stage has been ‘handcrafted from the ground up’, drawing on real-world inspirations to create environments that feel different yet recognisable, packed with cultural references for players who look closely. Momentum carries into confrontations too, with surprise-heavy boss battles positioned as anime-style showdowns designed to test creativity as much as skill.
Calling the project a love letter to anime, skate culture and Japan’s train system, Denshattack! is looking like a great game for fans of trick-focused, high-energy classics.
