At today’s inaugural New Game+ Showcase, developer Behold Studios showed off new gameplay of their upcoming survival exploration game which brings Metroidvania and crafting elements together. Deep Dish Dungeon, which featured at the December 2025 Latin American Games Showcase can be played solo or with up to two other players in a game that encourages collaboration on knowledge, tools and skill.
In the game, players will need to build, cook and craft items to ensure survival in a beautifully hand crafted dungeon, that takes graphical inspiration from games like Minecraft. The dungeon is full of a diverse range of enemies who have different behaviours and actions, as they hide secrets for players to discover and collect. Deep Dish Dungeon promises many surprises and enigmas in its hand crafted world, with the game leaving plenty for players to work out alone, or together.
In the new trailer we see more of the game’s exploration which features teamwork on solving challenges to unravel more, and head deeper into, the dungeon. Unique world building is clearly something that the developers are focusing on in a genre that is already crowded. Gamers will need to solve puzzles, fend off foes and more if they want to make their way through the Deep Dish Dungeon. The game’s UI will be familiar to other crafting / survival titles like Minecraft etc.
Deep Dish Dungeon will be launching on Steam on an unannounced date and you can wishlist now.
