As expected, there were many announcements at the 2025 Game Awards which we’ve recapped for you if you can’t watch the full broadcast. It was also during this broadcast that we received more information on Capcom’s upcoming IP Pragmata, including a release date.
First announced in 2020, Pragmata was the first original IP for Capcom in quite some time. Unfortunately the game suffered delays which is becoming all too common. As with many other games, people began to wonder if it would ever be released. In June, Capcom let us know the game was still in the works, it was real, and we’d have it in hand in 2026. Of course just hearing about a game doesn’t truly mean it’s out there and ready. So when we got to be hands on at New York Comic Con, it was quite exciting to get hands on with it.
Now that hands on experience is coming to Steam alongside a release date for Pragmata.
The pre-orders went live alongisde the new trailer and release date information. It is also worth noting that Pragmata will also be launching on Switch 2 same day as other platforms. It will also get a nice little addition for those who choose to splurge. In addition to announcing the launch on the Switch 2, it was announced Diana will be getting an amiibo. There are not many details on the amiibo just yet, however the official Pragmata twitter account was quick to share a first look.

Pragmata will be releasing on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and Switch 2 on April 24, 2026. Now that we know Pragmata is real, will you be pre-ordering? Let us know in the comments below! If you’re still on the fence, be sure to check out the demo available now on Steam as well. We’ll be sure to include the demo and our thoughts in our upcoming Demo Disc as well.
