Bits & Bops Shadow Drops During Wholesome Snack Showcase

During today’s Wholesome Snack: The Game Awards Edition 2025, indie developers and publisher Tempo Lab Games have stealth dropped their exciting original rhythm game, Bits & Bops. The game that started as a Kickstarter project and gained over 3,500 backers is finally here!

In a surprise announcement that closed out the cosy games showcase, we were treated to an immediate release. A ‘very special’ announcement for the game at the Showcase had been teased but a surprise launch wasn’t hinted at. Well, quite the special announcement it is as the game is now available on Steam, including the option for an edition with a catchy soundtrack.

Bits & Bops features 20 rhythm mini-games, hand-drawn 2D animation and a custom game engine that offers lightning fast response times, perfect for hitting your beats. Oh, and there’s a pretty handsome dog-bear, Bop who will help us keep our rhythm.

If you want to try Bits & Bops out before buying, the game has a demo available now on Steam. Bits & Bops is also Steam Deck Verified and looks like it’ll be a perfect on-the-go game. The game is also scheduled to launch on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch in the future.

Earlier this year, Bits & Bops was part of the Access-Ability Summer Showcase 2025 and offers a range of accessibility options for players.
