Galactic Challenger Achievement Guide
Level 1: New York City
| Challenge | Solution |
| Hit 3 enemies with a single web-sling kick using Spider-Man | Once you have 3 enemies semi-grouped up, press attack and jump to do a websling on 3 enemies. |
| Defeat 10 enemies using Nova’s energy beam | Just spam Nova’s unique attack, move around while it’s recharging and continue to spam, you will get it before the end of the level. |
| Avoid taking damage from swarming bugs | At one point in the level Beetle will fly out of a building with bugs chasing him and some yellow bugs will be in the foreground. Use Nova and fly as far into the back as you can and stay into the air until all the bugs pass. |
Level 2: Genosha
| Challenge | Solution |
| Defeat 10 enemies using Wolverine’s feral throw | Once you kill the first giant sentinel, just spam his unique attack until you get 10 kills. |
| Defeat 10 enemies by dropping electric bombs using Storm | After you come across the pink/purple sentinel there will be bombs overhead. Knock these down with Storm to kill enemies, you should be able to get 5 at the first spot and 5 at the other spot later in the level. |
| Free all mutants from the factory | Right after you enter the sentinel factory there will be doors you can break open. The first mutant is located in the 3rd door. Later on after the first electric bomb area you will be in the opposite hallway, there will be a 2nd mutant in the 3rd door again. |
Level 3: Helicarrier
| Challenge | Solution |
| Hit 3 enemies with a single electro-charge attack using Iron Man | To do the electro-charge hold down the attack button. Once you have 3 AIM agents in front of you, hold attack down to have the charge go through the first agent and hit the other 2. |
| Toss 5 enemies in pits using Captain America | This is easier than it sounds, just get enemies to sit in front of the holes in the ship, and throw your shield and they should fall into the hole. |
| Defeat 15 enemies using Helicarrier’s turret guns | once you get onto the top of the ship, there will be a turret you can hit to fire it. Just get the enemies to line up in front of the turret and spam Captain America’s shield throw at the turret. Later on there is 2 turrets at once and the upper turret is great for killing the enemies coming out of the AIM ships. |
Level 4: Savage Land
| Challenge | Solution |
| Defeat 5 enemies using She-Hulks throw | Use She-Hulks unique attack to pick up an enemy and press it again to throw them. Do this 5 times killing an enemy and should have it early on. |
| Hit 5 enemies with a single special attack using Storm | Towards the end of the mission after you pass the river there will be some bugs around a slab of meat. Here you will end up getting more than 5 enemies on screen, use Storm’s special here. |
| Avoid taking damage from Dinosaur stampede | Most of the stampedes will come from the bottom of the screen. Try to stick to the top of the level, and when you get the incoming indicator use Storm to fly away. |
Level 5: Wakanda
| Challenge | Solution |
| Defeat the mission boss using Black Panther | Sounds obvious, must beat Klaw with Black Panther. Use Captain America for the majority of the fight, and once Klaw is really low switch to Black Panther to finish him off. |
| Hit 3 enemies with a single throw using Captain America | Easiest way to do is to get 3 enemies grouped together and toss the shield. Otherwise if you jump and throw the shield, the shield will track back to you on the ground and hit any enemies in a line on the way. |
| Destroy bug pods before they respawn 25 enemies | This one can be tricky, halfway through the level pods will appear that spawn bugs. Get ready to spam your ultimates when there is 2 on screen at once. The last pods will appear on the train before Klaw, as long as you’re below 25 enemies spawned after the train section you are good. |
Level 6: Blue Area of the Moon
| Challenge | Solution |
| Defeat the missions boss using Wolverine | Same as the Black Panther challenge in the last level, defeat Dark Phoenix with Wolverine. The first half of the fight you can throw Phoenix with Wolverine and then grab her before she hits the floor and throw her again. Once she starts moving across the screen switch to to Nova to whittle her down, and finish off with Wolverine. |
| Defeat 10 enemies using Nova’s special attack | When you have multiple enemies around you, use Nova’s ultimate ability. Do some damage to other enemies to gain focus to use it again. Keep doing this until you defeated 10. |
| Avoid taking damage from bug barricade | Halfway through the level there will be a barricade you need to damage to pass. There will be a little indicator that will send up a tentacle to hit you if you stand in place for too long. You can either sit back and spam Nova’s beam attack, otherwise you can run in as Wolverine to attack, and then dash out to avoid the tentacle and repeat. |
Level 7: Asgard
| Challenge | Solution |
| Toss 10 enemies in pits using Phoenix | Can do this at the start, just use her unique ability to grab someone and throw them off the bridge. Can also be used on the flying enemies as they won’t fly back on. |
| Hit 4 enemies with a single tackle using Beta Ray Bill | Towards the end of the bifrost you will get more than 5 enemies on screen at once, stick to one side of bridge and dash and then attack to do the tackle, as long as you hit 4 at once you are good. |
| Avoid taking damage from Galactus’ cosmic absorption | Once in Asgard proper, Galactus will light up the ground and few seconds later send a beam across the screen. Jump forward and backward to avoid these. |
Level 8: Destromundo
| Challenge | Solution |
| Defeat the boss using Spider-Man | Same as other defeat the boss, use your other character to do the majority of the damage and then switch in. I found waiting for Venom to do this dash across screen and then using webshooters to hit him in between was great until I had ult built up and then spam that and repeat. |
| Hit 3 enemies with a single sonic clap using She-Hulk | Hold down the attack button to do a sonic clap, just get 3 enemies in front of you and attack. |
| Defeat 5 enemies using traps | Throughout the level there will be tubes with pink creatures in it. Breaking these has the creature fly forwards and one hit anything in it’s way. There’s quite a few of these throughout the level, just break them when you have enemies in front of you. |
Level 9: Klyntar
| Challenge | Solution |
| Defeat 10 enemies using Venom’s throw | Much all the other throw challenges, use Venom’s unique attack to pick up an enemy and use it again to throw. The symbiotes on this level recover health and throws do more damage if they don’t hit other enemies so try not to throw them into each other. |
| Hit 5 enemies with a single special attack using Black Panther | Once you have at least 5 enemies on screen, use Black Panthers’ ultimate ability. It covers a line on the whole screen so as long as all the enemies aren’t spread out you should hit all 5. |
| Avoid taking damge from corruption waves | You will see black puddles with what look like balloons coming out of them. They will grow into 4 different sizes and explode after. Just make sure to destroy them before they blow up and get out of the way when they get to the final size. |
Level 10: Hala
| Challenge | Solution |
| Defeat 5 enemies using Rocket Raccoons grenades | This is hard for 2 reasons, the first being most of the enemies in the beginning are flyers and won’t get hit from the grenades. The 2nd is the grenades are random. Once you get into the hallway with the statues you will get ground based enemies. Just keep spamming the grenades until you eventually get this, don’t attack them with anything else. |
| Defeat 10 enemies using Captain America’s shield throw | As stated previously, the first few areas have a majority flying enemies, perfect time to jump and throw the shield here. |
| Avoid being detected by drones in the first section | This can be tricky, first few rooms have drones that will fly by that you can not get detected by. Dodge between them as they fly in, otherwise Captain Americas shield throw will kill them in one hit, target one and then use that time to avoid the others. You have to make it to the Supreme Intelligence to be done with the first section. When you get into the hallway with the statues the statues will target you also but if you get hit by that it doesn’t count, just mind the occassional drone that shows up in the hallway. |
Level 11: Sanctuary II
| Challenge | Solution |
| Perform 10 successful parries using Phyla-Vell | Her parrry works differently than other characters. You have to hold down attack and if an enemy attacks right after she will parry. I found this hard to time on most enemies other than the ones with blades for hands, hold down attack in front of them and you should hear a ding when the parry is successful. Also found this works well on Thanos after he shoots his cannon he’ll try to uppercut you and you can spam the parry here. |
| Defeat 10 enemies using Iron Man’s special attack | Whenever you have enemies directly in front of you spam ultimate attacks. Build up focus to get it again and repeat until you have beat 10 enemies. |
| Avoid taking damage from Sancutary II’s defense system | There will be a few spots where lasers will shoot down on the floor, just move to avoid these. |
Level 12: Fort Galactus
| Challenge | Solution |
| Defeat 10 enemies using Cosmic Ghost Rider’s cosmic machine guns | Just spam all of your unique attack on one enemy, and move around waiting for recharge. Once you defeat 10 with the machine guns this will unlock. |
| Hit 5 enemies with a single Stormbreaker throw using Beta Ray Bill | After the 2nd fight against the Silver Surfer you’ll ride up an elevator, towards the end you will have 6 Sentinels show up, hang out on the left side of the screen and throw the hammer to the right and you should hit 5 here. |
| Avoid taking damage from Galactus debris | Throughout the level Galactus will rain down green rocks. When you see the indicators move quickly to avoid these. |
Level 13: Heteropteron
| Challenge | Solution |
| Hit 5 enemies with a single special attack using Nova | Once you have 5 enemies on screen, work on grouping them up. Once they are all close enough to each other use your ultimate attack to hit at least 5. |
| Perform 5 successful cosmic-charged slashes using Phyla-Vell | Same attack as her parry, just hold attack and hit the enemies, you’ll know they took cosmic damage when they have a purple bubble on them. |
| Avoid taking damage from Larvas | Throughout the level there will be purple larvas hanging that will shoot projectiles at you and enemies, just make sure to avoid and have the enemies get hit instead. |
Level 14: Arthros Citadel
| Challenge | Solution |
| Perform 10 successful cosmic blasts using Silver Surfer | Pretty easy, just hit opponents with the Surfers beam, you’ll know you hit when the enemies have the purple bubble on them. Hit 10 enemies with this and you’re done. |
| Defeat 3 enemies using Rocket Raccoon’s nuke grenade | Bit of luck involved here, Rocket’s grenades are all random so unfortunately you’ll have to just keep throwing them and hope the nuke shows up. Thankfully the nuke kills everything on screen(outside of the giant symbiote enemies) so once you get one that should be all you need. |
| Defeat 10 enemies with Galactus’ help | There’s 3 parts of the level where Galactus will help kill opponents. The 2nd time is on a bridge and I didn’t attack anyone and just let Galactus fry them, should be able to get the majority of the kills here. |
Level 15: NYC Rooftops
| Challenge | Solution |
| Toss 5 enemies in pits | Honestly one of the harder challenges in game. There isn’t “pits” like the other levels. You need to hit enemies off the edge right before you move to the next section. I found Beta Ray Bills stormbreaker throw the most consistent way to do it. Just throw it at enemies to knock them off the map. |
| Defeat the mission’s boss using Nova | Same as other challenges, fight Annihilus with your secondary character and when his health is low switch to Nova to finish him off |
| Avoid taking damage from Annihilus’ negative rain meteors | At some points during the fight Annihilus will start charging up a move. Make sure you deal a lot of damage here to stun him, and when his health is around 30 percent he will rain down an attack that you need to dodge as well. |
