While Square Enix has had a busy year of releases, including Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles in October, we wouldn’t blame you for thinking that all they have done this year is celebrate the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy IX. Almost every month of 2025 has had several announcements related to the milestone anniversary of FFIX, and December is no different.
Early today, Square Enix revealed another wave of Final Fantasy IX 25th anniversary merchandise, predominantly made up of themed stationery.
First up is a pair of Final Fantasy IX B6 dot grid notebooks, containing 80 full colour pages and a dot grid to support a wide range of uses, including writing and drawing.

Next is a selection of stickers, with two sheets available, one containing the main cast, and the other with illustrations from th Vivi storybook. There are also individual character stickers sold separately.

Following the stickers we get 2 sets of Final Fantasy IX Book-Style Sticky Notes, featuring illustrations of Vivi and Grandpa from the picture book “Final Fantasy IX Picture Book: Vivi and Grandpa on the Day of Departure.”

To finish off the FFIX-themed stationery we have two types of Final Fantasy IX masking tape. One design consists of different illustrations of the young black mage Vivi, and the other has the main cast in a Chibi art style.

You’re going to need a good bag to carry all of this FFIX merchandise, so it’s a good thing that Square Enix has revealed two new tote bags!
The first tote bag features an illustration of the Tantalus Gang from Final Fantasy IX, while the lunch tote bag features Vivi and the travelling Moogle Stiltzkin. Both illustrations were done by Toshiyuki Itahana and both bags have an embroidered “IX” name tag.

This reveal comes only days after the announcement of the Final Fantasy IX x Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space collaboration. As part of the “Memories of Another Sky” event beginning on December 4th, Zidane, Vivi, Garnet, and Steiner can join your party.
If fans register their email address on the event website, they will receive a “Sitting Vivi x Valwo” keychain and special wallpaper!
Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space is a single-player RPG available on iOS and Android, which is developed and operated by Light Flyer Studio.
While it has been wonderful to see Final Fantasy IX get so much attention and celebration for its 25th anniversary, we still have no confirmation of the fabled FFIX remake which has long been rumoured.
