Biking Survival Horror Game Quite A Ride Finds A Publisher

Looks like Indie developer Goodwin Games won’t have to make the journey to releasing their upcoming survival horror game, Quite A Ride, on their own anymore, with the announcement that Silver Lining Interactive will be publishing the game.

According to a press release that was sent out by Silver Lining Interactive earlier today, “This collaboration ensures Goodwin Games can focus their efforts on crafting a truly unforgettable world, filled with the tension, and atmosphere that defines Quite a Ride.

Quite A Ride, which was first revealed back in March of this year, is a first-person cycling horror survival game where the player must keep pedalling to stay ahead of the horrors that lurk in the fog. Travel down an ever-shifting road filled with secret labs, abandoned towns, and other strange discoveries, but don’t stop for too long, because something is chasing you, and if you look at it…

All you have is a phone that you must keep charged by pedalling, a phone that, through which a mysterious silhouette messages you, but are they helping you, or deceiving you?

It’s an intriguing premise that, when coupled with the screenshots and trailers that we have seen, has us itching to try it, but it is the last key feature listed in Quite A Ride’s press release that has us reaching for our cycling helmets: Collective Progress.

“Players’ collective global efforts can change the environment, unlocking new locations, hidden characters and secret quests over time.”

This would be the second game that Silver Lining Interactive has published by Goodwin Games, alongside a deepening catalogue of titles, including Spirit of the North, Slain, and Time on Frog Island. “We absolutely fell in love with the concept from the moment we saw it,…” says Eben, Sales & Biz Dev Coordinator at Silver Lining. “…having worked with Goodwin Games before, on Selfloss, we already knew how thoughtful and ambitious their work is, so partnering with them again felt completely natural.

Hopefully, we won’t have to wait long before Quite A Ride gets a demo or a release date, so until then, just keep on pedalling and don’t look back.
