Total Chaos Surprise Launch at the Xbox Partner Preview

Total Chaos, the new title from Trigger Happy Interactive and publisher Apogee Entertainment, has officially launched today following a surprise reveal at the Xbox Partner Preview. The first-person psychological horror game is now available on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, with immediate access via Xbox Game Pass for subscribers.

Originally slated for a July release, Total Chaos was quietly delayed to Q4 2025, leaving fans in suspense. That wait ended abruptly with today’s shadow drop, revealed at the end of the brand new trailer shown at today’s Xbox Partner Preview.

Set in the decaying ruins of Fort Oasis, players awaken on a storm-ravaged island and are drawn into its haunted depths by a cryptic transmission. What begins as a survival mission quickly spirals into a surreal nightmare, with twisted corridors, grotesque enemies, and a fragile grip on reality. The game blends scavenging, crafting, and combat with psychological tension, challenging players to navigate both physical and mental horrors.

Total Chaos has drawn attention not only for its eerie atmosphere and Doom mod origins, but also for its creative team. Developed by Sam Prebble, the game builds on his experience crafting fast-paced, visually striking shooters, now channelled into a slower, more atmospheric descent into madness. Akira Yamaoka, famed for his work on Silent Hill, also composed a brand new track for the game call Catharsis.

The game is currently available through Steam, PlayStation, the Microsoft Store and as an Xbox Play Anywhere title. Will you be jumping straight in to Total Chaos today? Come and join the active and friendly Gamer Social Club Discord to chat all about your favourite horror titles.
