Ahead of today’s Xbox Partner Showcase, indie developer Coal Supper have confirmed that Thank Goodness You’re Here! will be coming to Xbox Series X/S and Xbox PC on December 9 2025. Players can wishlist now. The game will also support Xbox Play Anywhere.
Recently announced to be joining PlayStation Plus in November 2025, Xbox ecosystem players will be able to get their hands on the title soon too, though it does not appear to be joining Game Pass for launch.
The game has been on PlayStation, Switch and PC since August 2024 and went on to win numerous awards included the BAFTA 2025 Best British Game award. On Steam the game sits at the prestigious ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ status with over 5,000 lifetime reviews.
The comedy ‘slapformer’ game is based in the bizarre Northern English town of Barnsworth and follows a travelling salesman who gets to meet the obscure locals and help with their odd jobs. Doesn’t sound like a recreational visit to me!
The original story is based on traditional Yorkshire folklore and has authentic regional dialect. As an English man from the West Midlands, I think even I might struggle with understanding the lovely folk of Barnsworth.
