The opening quarter of 2026 is filling up fast with game releases, with another hotly anticipated title joining the crowd. REANIMAL, the upcoming co-op horror game from Tarsier Studios, the creators of the Little Nightmares series, is set to release on Friday, February 13th, across PC, PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Alongside the announcement of its release date, which was made via the game’s Steam Page, Tarsier Studios has also released a demo for REANIMAL on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series today. This demo is the same one that was previously available on PC and highlighted in this month’s issue of the GSC Demo Disc. Preorders for the game are now open on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series, with both preorders and a console-specific demo coming to Nintendo Switch at a later date. Fans who preorder will also receive the Foxhead & Muttonhead Masks to wear in-game, and a discount for the Deluxe Edition, which includes the REANIMAL season pass.

For those who are unfamiliar with Tarsier Studios’ previous work and/or their next title, REANIMAL is a co-op horror game where players take on the roles of a brother and sister as they run, hide, and do what they can to survive a twisted hellscape as they try to rescue their friends and flee the island they once called home.
Players can expect to encounter, and no doubt be terrified by, a whole new menagerie of monstrosities, a staple of Tarsier Studios, as they explore the island’s distinct areas, all enveloped in an oppressive, unsettling atmosphere. The devs wanted that feeling of tension and claustrophobia to be heightened as much as possible, so they employed a shared direct camera, keeping both players on screen and limiting their viewpoint.
Help these small, resilient children survive in single-player ot co-op, solving puzzles and watching each other’s backs, ready to run or hide at the first sign of trouble.

REANIMAL is the first game from Tarsier Studios since they parted ways with Bandai Namco as their publisher and the Little Nightmares IP, with the most recent entry, Little Nightmares 3, being developed by Supermassive Games. For this new IP and chapter in the Swedish developer’s story, they have teamed up with THQ Nordic to help publish REANIMAL.
Having got the chance to get some hands-on time with REANIMAL at Gamescom back in August, and put a few more hours into the game’s demo, REANIMAL is one game we can’t wait to give us nightmares!
REANIMAL is priced at $39.99/£34.99 for the standard edition, and $59.99/£49.99 for the deluxe edition of the game, with a planned release on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2 on February 13th, 2026. A REANIMAL demo is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.
