Dispatch Sells 2 Million Copies

Robert Robertson and the Z-team have clearly made an impact on gamers these last few weeks. While those who have enjoyed Adhoc’s debut title Dispatch may be feeling an emptiness this week, the development team has much to celebrate. Just one week after the full release of Dispatch, Adhoc is celebrating selling 2 million copies.

We're also sad there are no new episodes this week, but thank you to the 2 million players that have joined us so far. Wouldn't be here without you.Art by Derek Stratton.

It took Adhoc 10 days to sell 1 million copies and just a few weeks to then cross the 2 million mark. For a debut title that went through quite a bit of development, this is a huge achievement. There’s still no word on if there will be a season two. However, with these numbers, one has to imagine the discussion is continuing. The team over at Ahoc hadn’t ruled it out as of a few weeks ago. Has that changed since then? We’ll be sure to let you know when we hear more.

The talking point from their discord server is still very much focused on their eight episodes of season one. “Nothing is out of the cards but we’re focused on supporting these 8 episodes for now. We have a list of additional game features we’d love to implement post-release, but feel free to log your interest for specifics.” For potential players not on PS5 or PC, they have stated in their Discord they are looking at other platforms. Will this help fans who want more Dispatch content now? No, but perhaps one day there will be others who feel the same emptiness after completing the game.

Do you miss your time with the Z-team?

If you’ve already purchased the game and are looking for some more additional Dispatch content, check out their store where you can pre-order items. If you did not get the digital deluxe, you can always upgrade to get four comics available in game. The digital deluxe also shows art work through the development cycle for those looking to see the characters through the years.

Have you picked up Dispatch yet or will you be helping it inch towards the 3 million copies sold mark? Be sure to let us know if you want a Season 2 by joining the Gamer Social Club Discord Server.
