out its challenges! The game has a few dozen achievements/trophies, and while most of them you are likely to unlock just through playing, there are a few we thought some people might want some help with. So here is our Willow’s Epiphany achievement guide to assist you in completing all of Gnawtusk’s quests in Winter Burrow.
Check out our Winter Burrow Review to read our full thoughts on the game.
Spoiler Warning: Our guides for Winter Burrow contain some narrative spoilers for the game. You have been warned!
Willow’s Epiphany Achievement Guide
To reach Willow and begin their questline, you will need to have unlocked the second pickaxe, which you get during Bufo the frog’s questline, after the narrative beat that concludes the second act of the game. (Check out our Family Reunion Achievement Guide for help with Bufo’s questline)
From your burrow, head down and to the left and go through the exit heading West. Follow the path through this area and break the rocks with your pickaxe to clear the way to the exit that leads to the White Pillars region and Willow.

From the entrance of this new region, go straight down and enter another, larger area, then continue going down and to the left, looking for an exit going West. In this small dead end, you will find Willow the mole. For their first quest, Find Willow’s Notebook, you have to… well, I think you can work that out!

Want a real surprise? Go back to your burrow. What’s that in front of it? One of Willow’s notebooks? Well, how about that! Let’s not get too hung up on it and return to Willow. This will lead to their next quest, Find Another Tunnel Entrance, as well as them giving you the blueprint for the best shovel. Return to your burrow to craft your new shovel; you’ll need it, but you won’t have to go far to use it.

Once you have your new shovel, head outside and use it on the small, strange-looking patch near where you found Willow’s notebook. It’s one of the mole’s tunnels, and it has been there the whole time! Go back to Willow with news of your discovery.

Willow will give you a strawberry as a reward, which is part of their next quest, A Berry?. Return to your burrow and speak with your Aunty, who will recognise Willow as her old friend and ask for the berry. She has a plan, but doesn’t want to share it!

For the next part of Willow’s questline, you will need to have unlocked the best axe, which you get during Moss the hedgehog’s questline. (Check out our Moss Moves On Achievement Guide for help with that)
Go back and talk to Willow to get their next quest, Find A Mole Artifact. Leave Willow’s little area and continue going to the right side of the larger area to go through an exit near a bird’s nest. Keep going to the right and cut your way through some thick green vines, and go through the exit passed them.

Watch out for the spider in this area, and head down through the tall grass to reach a dead end with a strange-looking helmet half-buried in the snow and dirt. Interact with it, then head back to Willow.

As a reward for finding such a worthy entry to add to their notebook, Willow will give you a blueprint for a backpack design to increase your inventory.

You will need to speak to Willow again to start their last quest, Hazelnuts For Willow, which has you collecting five hazelnuts for the hedgehog so they can enjoy a strong brew. If you are short of hazelnuts, you can find a fair few in the large area next to Willow’s little dead end.

Note: Willow’s questline was the last one I finished, and before I could hand in the last quest with them, they had two other conversations with me where they talked about the other NPCs and rewarded me with sets of furniture. I am not sure if this means that it is necessary to have finished all other NPC questlines before Willow’s, but I felt it was worth highlighting.
Finally, once you give Willow the hazelnuts, they will reward you with another set of furniture, ending their questline.

Congratulations! You have unlocked the Willow’s Epiphany achievement!
