After a stellar month of October for Xbox Game Pass, the beginning of November is shaping up to continue that momentum with multiple day 1 titles, including the biggest of them all with Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7. Today Xbox revealed wave 1 for November via the Xbox Wire.

Of course as mentioned off the top, Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is the highlight here. The Call of Duty franchise is arguably the biggest gaming franchise in the world and a massive addition to Xbox Game Pass. Last year was the first year a Call of Duty game joined Xbox Game Pass day 1 with Black Ops 6 and subscriptions rose more than they ever had with any previous game.

It will be interesting to see how Black Ops 7 does overall though. The game doesn’t seem to be garnering quite as much buzz as previous Call of Duty games and the shooters main competition dropped a new game last month in Battlefield 6 which has a lot buzz and interest. It feels like we say this every year and yet in the end Call of Duty always wins out, so we shall see.
Outside the big Call of Duty addition we have a ton of indies coming to Game Pass day 1, highlighted by Winter Burrow. Since its announcement back in 2024 it has gained a pretty sizable following for a smaller title.
In this cozy survival game you play as a mouse who needs to rebuild their home and look for their Aunt who has gone missing. Developer Pine Creek has said Winter Burrow is a go at your own pace type of survival game, so there doesn’t seem to be any fear of losing like in other survival games. We will find out November 12th.

Another highly anticipated indie hitting the service is Dead Static Drive. Also another survival game, Dead Static Drive has been in development for quite awhile and just finally received its release date last month. Players will head to the 1980’s in an alternate universe America where things are not going well. The developers have called the game style “Grand Theft Cthulhu” and we won’t have to wait much longer for this one as it releases tomorrow, November 5th.
And if that isn’t enough for you there is the mice (big theme this month!) city builder Whiskerwood, the no need to explain Football Manager 26 and an interesting looking platformer in Egging On or maybe you want to become a Pigeon in Pigeon Simulator. There really is something for everyone in the first half of November.
Things will begin to slow down after this first half of November, but there will still be some great additions to come later on including Moonlighter 2, so be sure to check back in a few weeks when we find out what the rest of November looks like!
