The Six One Indie Showcase, which was held back in September, gave a bunch of great-looking indie games a fantastic platform and opportunity for discoverability. One such title that got us at the GSC excited was the epically named GIGASWORD, and now, only a week or so away from the game’s release, the GIGASWORD achievement/trophy list has landed.
Solo-developed by Jack Breen (Studio Hybrid) and published by Akupara Games, GIGASWORD is a 2D pixel-art metroidvania where you play as Ezra, a young man on a quest to climb to the top of the Nestrium and recover Gnosis, the God Crystal. Weilding a colossal blade, the eponymous GIGASWORD, Ezra will have to use his brains and brawn to fight through a menagerie of monsters, solve perplexing puzzles, and find secrets hidden within the walls of the enigmatic tower.
The GIGASWORD achievement/trophy list consists of 16 achievements or trophies, totaling 1000G, or 1 bronze, 4 silver, 10 gold, and 1 platinum trophy. Seven of them are secret, so we have hidden those achievements to avoid spoilers, but you can check them out if that isn’t an issue.

The GIGASWORD achievement/trophy list is made up of your standard fare for a metroidvania, covering boss fights, collectibles, and player progression pretty evenly. For those looking for a challenge, the Ambition achievement tasks the player with completing the game without upgrading their health, something we’d probably leave for a 2nd playthrough!

GIGASWORD is releasing across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2 on November 13th, 2025.
